Music Lessons with Judy Fine

Whether you're picking something up for the first time, returning to what you set aside years ago, or looking to deepen skills you already have — there's a place for you here.

The Many Ways to Chase Your Dream...

Keyboard/Music Theory:

Whether you want to play for your own enjoyment or build a stronger musical foundation, keyboard lessons are tailored to your goals and experience level. Music theory is woven in naturally — not as dry homework, but as the thing that makes everything else click.

Ear Training and Sight Reading:

The skills that transform everything else you do musically. We work on recognizing what you hear, reading what's in front of you, and building the kind of musical fluency that makes practicing feel less like struggle and more like conversation.

Songwriting and Composition:

For students ready to move from interpreting music to creating it. Whether you have fragments of ideas you've never known what to do with, or you're starting from scratch, we work on finding your creative voice and giving it structure.

A note on how lessons work together: These topics don't have to live in separate boxes. Many of my students find that weaving in ear training, music theory, or keyboard skills makes their primary lessons richer and faster-moving. If you're taking singing lessons and want to understand more about what you're hearing — or start picking out melodies on a keyboard — we can build that in. Just bring it up and we'll figure out what makes sense.

Why Work With Me?

Although I've spent most of my adult life developing and teaching my approach to singing, my degrees are in music composition — which is why theory, ear training, songwriting, and composition aren't add-ons for me. They're home territory. You can take advantage of all I have to offer in one lesson experience.

What Past Students Are Saying...
